Robin has been a Wharton resident since 2000. She has three children who grew up here and went to our schools. The Ghebreal family has owned a local business here in town for the past 11 years. She has 15 years of municipal government experience including working for the town of Wharton from 2007 to 2022.
Robin is a Registered Municipal Clerk and has taken Public Administration classes through Rutgers. She has served on the Wharton Borough Public Schools Board of Education for over 15 years and is currently in her 10th year as President. She serves on the Morris County School Board Executive Committee, Morris County Legislative Committee and was just appointed on the New Jersey School Board Legislative Committee. She has a real estate business with Keller Williams.
She volunteers with the American Legion post 91 here in Wharton. She also served previously on the Wharton PTA, Wharton Fraternal Order of Police Association, Canal Day Executive Board.
Robin’s qualifications and priorities:
Jayne is a long-time resident of Wharton and believes in Tradition with Progress and Progress for All. She has volunteered as soccer coach, PTA member, and was employed as the Youth Minister for Wharton United Community Church.
Most recently, Jayne supports the Wharton Police Department as a Crisis Response Team Member, responding to survivors of domestic violence.
Our Borough is a diverse microcosm of Morris County and New Jersey. Because of this we need to be mindful of all the people. Jayne would like to support this community as a council member by:
William “Beave” Rogers has been a resident of Wharton since 1995 and has been a pretty active participant in the life of our community. He was involved with the Wharton Soccer Club from 1997 to 2010 as both a coach and as treasurer for a decade. Beave served two terms on the Board of Education from 2009-2016, including two years as Board president. He also served as chair of the effort to create the Civil War Memorial that is located in Memorial Park.
Beave and his wife Maira chose to make their home in Wharton three decades ago because of its diversity and small town feel (and wonderful walking sidewalks!) that both their home towns possessed, and they’ve never regretted it. He is very excited by the prospect of continuing his service to his fellow residents by working for them on the borough council.
